Managing Director: Jeff Strahan

Jeff has nearly 20 years experience in the Perth property development and water servicing industries, including many years as a senior associate with a leading Western Australian town planning and project management consultancy, 6 years as senior development manager at an ASX-listed property development company and 3 years as Chief Operating Officer of a regulated, licensed water utility, focussing on decentralised recycled wastewater and potable water services.

Rob joined Water West in early 2015. Rob has a range of experience across a number of industries and countries stemming from a 16 year global career with Morgan Stanley, including as a Managing Director of various business units in Asia, Europe and America.

Chairman: Murray Cook
Murray Cook has spent over 20 years developing broad business experience in the resources and infrastructure sectors and is currently General Manager Strategy & Development at Brookfield Rail. Following the completion of Degrees in Law and Commerce, Murray commenced his career with KPMG’s Taxation practice, completing his Chartered Accounting qualification and a Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment. Building on his finance experience, Murray subsequently held senior positions in operational, commercial and project areas at Alinta, WestNet Infrastructure Group and Fortescue Metals.

Director: Richie Baston
Richie Baston is a Director at Azure Capital where he has worked on a range of public and private M&A engagements across various sectors including resources, infrastructure and agriculture. Prior to joining Azure, Richie worked for 2 years at an ASX 200 company leading their in-house corporate finance team and has worked for 7 years at Macquarie Group’s investment banking division both in Sydney and London. Richie has experience across a range of industry sectors including infrastructure (particularly regulated utilities), resources and industrials.

Director: Ben Hayward
Ben Hayward has 15 years experience in business development, project execution and financing across a range of significant infrastructure and resource projects in Western Australia. Currently Manager Investment Development at Brookfield Rail, Ben has worked across a range of sectors, including diversified industrials, energy and transport infrastructure, utilities, mineral resources, oil & gas and agribusiness.
Water West’s major shareholders include Azure Capital, Brookfield Infrastructure and Water West management.

Projects and Case Studies

North Dandalup
Water West has been mandated to undertake the design and approvals work for both wastewater and potable water at Silversun Corporation's North Dandalup development, consisting of 1500 - 2750 future residential lots. North Dandalup is located in the rapidly growing Peel region south of Perth and 22km east of Mandurah. Water West will commence construction of the water infrastructure for this development in partnership with Silversun Corporation.

Flow Systems Case Studies
Through Brookfield Infrastructure, Water West has a sister company, Flow Systems, which is a leader in designing, building and operating local utility (water and energy) services in NSW and Victoria. Flow Systems already has two projects fully operational, and licences in place that will ultimately deliver recycled water to 80,000 residents and 40,000 workers across ten locations throughout Australia.
